My Dog Frodo

Unboxed Words

When I was little, I had a dog named Frodo. He was a German Shorthaired Pointer. He would eat anything - even the black stuff from the fireplace! He was very playful too.

Every day at 5 o'clock, when we let him out of his crate, he would go super fast. He ran circles around the house really quick! His nails clicking on the floor was very loud and bothered us.

I don't have many, but I have a few stories about him that I want to share. Let's talk about them now. Some were scary!

This is not my dog but this is what he looked like

Yes, my dog did look that cute, but that's not the main thing. Let's get to my first story of the day.

The Clock

It was just a normal day, nothing special. Not long ago, my parents bought a clock with Roman numbers on it. They put the clock on the floor.

It wasn't 5 o'clock - it was 3:37. For some reason I don't know about (because I don't speak dog talk), Frodo went wild. I was watching him run around to make sure he was safe and to play with him.

One second I saw Frodo just fine. The next second I heard a smash and crash sound. Then I saw Frodo with big pieces of broken glass on him with the clock on his back! But don't worry too much - Frodo was totally okay. This just shows how full of energy he was that day.

I have one more story to tell you.

the clock that is not mine but looks like it

The Leash Story

Frodo was a very strong dog. Whenever my mom tried to walk him, Frodo would walk her instead!

One time, my mom was holding Frodo's leash outside. My dad was with her. Then my dad had to go inside the house to get something.

While my dad was inside, the leash slipped from my mom's hand! Luckily, no cars or animals went by, or Frodo would have chased after them.

My mom got the leash back in her hand. Then my dad came back outside to do what he needed to do.

Goodbye to Frodo

That's all the stories I have. Frodo was a good dog. I'm talking about him like he's gone because we had to give him away. He got too wild for us to take care of.

Now he lives on a farm with an older dog sister and a younger dog brother. It has been two years since we had him. We are going to get another dog in about two more years.

That's all for now. Bye!
